Condensation on the chip surface was created by Arnoud
I have a fairly basic question. I know it is important to bring the chip to room temperature before inserting into the instrument since condensation on the chip surface can distort the SPR results. Why does this matter if the chip surface will see buffer in a few moments when priming?

It is not about the functional side but about the side in contact with the detector. If it is moist and/or dirty on that side this may interfere with the signal and give distorted results.
