Dear All, hello. Need urgent help! How to check what's going on inside the Biacore machine? The response unit for the old and new chip showed 2000 RU, whereas before it showed 25000 RU. What could be the reasons for this? Thank you.

Hi, can you tell the instrument type you use?
Check if the sensor chip is properly inserted in the sheeting. Which kind of sensor chip did you use and was it new?
When you take is out, are both surface sides clean?

To check proper working of the instrument, dock a system check sensor chip, switch to fresh HBS buffer and normalize the detector before running the system check according to the procedure.

kind regards
Arnoud

Thank you.
Instrument: Biacore X100
Sensor chip: CM5 (tried old and new)
Yes, both surface sides clean

During the system check, response and injections failed, peristaltic pump calibration - not tested, and only noise passed.

Hi,
You can check if the flow is correct: no leakage anywhere and check if the temperature is properly maintained. Other than that I don't have a solution for you.
I recommend to contact your sales representative to solve this.
