Dear Arnoud and dear everyone,
I am about to try out the Biotin CAPture system in Biacore 3000 and I was wondering whether you have tried this system before and how it worked? What did you use it for, what kinds of proteins, how was your experience? Any special tips, anything to consider? Looking forward to any kind of input!
Have a nice evening,
Maria

Hi Maria,
Yes I used the CAP-system and it worked very wel. Basically follow the instructions provided with the kit. It is normal that the capacity gets a little lower during the first (10) cycles of avidin capturing. It is recommended to clean (superclean, see instructions) the chip before wet storing in HBS.
We normally use first channel 1-2 (1 reference) and then 3-4 (3 reference) to prolong the life time of the sensor chip. But if you need all channels, do so.
Kind regards
Arnoud
