BIAcore X100 instrument opinions was created by pablo.romasanta
Hello!
In our lab we are considering getting a BIAcore X100 with the plus package.

Does anyone know advantages or disadvantages for this instrument? It is quite cheaper than the other BIAcore models.

I have worked with a T100. Does X100 have less sensibility than T100?

I read X100 has 2 flow cells to immobilize...Does it use the same S series CM5 sensor chips? How does it work? First i use the two flow cells of the chip, and in another experiment, can i use the rest of the flow cells?

Thanks in advance!
Best wishes
Pablo.

Hi Pablo,

The X-100 has two detection spots, which means that there are only two channels per sensor chip.
The sensor chip used is the regular sensorchip not the S-series
