NSB reducer was created by OldForum
Hello. Has anyone used the NSB reducer from Biacore (10mg/mL of carboxymethyl dextran in 0.15M NaCL)? It said to use a 1:10 diln with the samples before injection (comes in a 10mg/mL solution). How about the buffer? Shouldn't that contain CM dextran as well to match sample and buffer matrix? I was thinking of just preparing the HBS buffer and add 1mg/mL of CM-dextran (powder), filter and then use this buffer to prepare the samples. Kindly comment. Thanks.

Hi mtarca,

I would add it to the flow buffer to make the buffer jumps lower.
I think you should use the lowest concentration which is working for you.

In addition, maybe you should try to identify the source of the non-specific binding.
